Seniors in Ferguslie were treated to a special dinner from St Mirren legend Tony Fitzpatrick.
Best Buddie Tony’s Legacy Comps business hosted a ‘Come Dine with Me’ for the Ferguslie Seniors at the Tannahill Centre.
It was an evening filled with fun and laughter which included bingo, a game of play your cards right and plenty of singing and dancing.
The night was also supported by Alfredo Nutini – musician Paolo Nutini’s dad – from Castelvecchi in Paisley who provided a number of fantastic fish suppers which went down a treat. Each senior also received a goodie bag provided by 8 Seater Travel and Love Each Moment.
Legacy Comps then went on air for its prize draw on Facebook and YouTube where the winners were called live there and then with plenty of cheering from the live audience.
The big cash prize of £1,050 was won by Caitlin Dawson from Ferguslie who was absolutely delighted. To top off the evening, Legacy Comps donated £1,000 to the Ferguslie Seniors lunch club to help towards running costs and events.
Terry McTerrnan, of the Tannahill Centre, said: “Ferguslie Seniors being welcomed into the Legacy Comps family is a fantastic illustration of the real sense of community that has been created over the last two years. And it empowers Ferguslie Seniors to continue tackling isolation, loneliness and food insecurity in a community-led and dignified way.
“The live draw event was beyond all our expectations, and everyone had a great time from beginning to end.
“From the food to the prize bingo, to the play your cards right and goodie bags, and the live draw itself, it was filled with laughter. Long may Legacy Comps continue and they will always be welcome in Ferguslie Park.”
Class act Tony added: “This is why I started Legacy Comps as it says in our logo we give from the heart and bring sunshine into people’s lives.
“Our aim is to be the heartbeat of the community and bring everyone together in person or through our daily live draws. Already over £227,000 has been won and we have helped raise over £50,000 for youth sports clubs, charities and general good causes.
“A huge thank you to the Ferguslie Seniors for making us welcome and making it such a wonderful evening.”
