This Morning viewers implored the hosts to “stop” as Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond grooved to hits from the noughties.

The beloved pair graced television screens again for Friday’s programme (September 27), delving into various discussions. With boundless energy, Alison and Dermot grooved to Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’, among others, during the jukebox segment as they reflected on their favourite tunes from two decades ago.

Yet, minutes into the broadcast, some viewers were not entertained. Taking to social media platform X, once known as Twitter, fans voiced their opinions.

One viewer pleaded: “Please stop!” Another appeared frustrated, commenting: “Not sure why we have to have this annoying dancing every Fri,” reports the Mirror.

A third chimed in with: “God, it’s awful already.”

Elsewhere, someone observed: “Alison speaking to the wrong camera sums up this show.”

Despite these remarks, other viewers praised the duo’s spirited antics.

Echoing different sentiments, a fan of the show said: “Dancing always cracks me up.” Meanwhile, another added: “I need Alison and Dermot’s energy today!”

O’Leary and Hammond weren’t alone in facing criticism this week while kick-starting the show. Regular presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard also encountered a wave of negative feedback as they introduced the show on Wednesday (September 25).

Cat and Ben kicked off the show with a festive tune, belting out ‘It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas’ and cheerily notifying viewers that there were only 91 days left until the big day.

However, this festive reminder didn’t sit well with some fans, as they took to social media to express their irritation at the premature Christmas talk while it’s still September. One viewer vented on Twitter: “Why are they talking about Christmas?”

Another was less than pleased, tweeting: “Remind me in November please, I couldn’t give a toss about Christmas now.”

Someone else chimed in with: “Sydnie Christmas doing an item about Christmas. In September #ThisMorning.”

One more user insisted that such discussions should be saved for later in the year, stating: “#ThisMorning The Christmas buildup shouldn’t start until 1st December.”
