Strictly Come Dancing is in its second week and fans believe they’ve ‘worked out’ who is likely winner of the Glitterball trophy following a touching moment on the show.

The popular BBC programme returned to our screens on Saturday evening, with former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri moving both judges and viewers to tears with her stunning performance.

After a successful first episode last week, the 26 year old and her professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec took to the stage to perform a Viennese Waltz to Dorothy Moore’s “Misty Blue”.

Dressed in a striking cobalt blue ball gown, Tasha gracefully glided across the dance floor, earning nothing but praise from the judging panel.

Head judge Shirley Ballas declared it the “dance of the night”, admitting it made her “quite emotional”. Anton Du Beke, another judge, commented: “Give us a chance, I wanted a fault so I could mark you down, seamless flow, immaculate frame, gorgeous footwork.”, reports the Mirror.

Craig Revel Horwood also dubbed it the “dance of the night”, while Motsi Mabuse added: “Love watching you, you brought us in, keep it up, amazing.”

Overwhelmed by the response, Tasha was visibly moved and broke down in tears. She went on to receive the first nines of the series, scoring a total of 35 points.

This achievement saw her and Aljaz set a new record as the first pair to score the highest ever for a Viennese Waltz in the second week.

Claudia Winkleman highlighted that it wasn’t just Tasha who was moved to tears, as she pointed out Tasha’s father, Tarek, crying in the front row.

Viewers at home were quick to take to social media to express their thoughts, with many already declaring Tasha as their champion.

One viewer tweeted: “Tasha #strictly #strictlycomedancing she had a standing ovation from Motsi and Shirley.” Another humorously remarked: “Don’t bother voting Tasha will be winning this #StrictlyComeDancing.”

A third shared: “Tasha is the outstanding favourite to win the series. Extraordinarily beautiful in every way. #StrictlyComeDancing.”

A fourth commented: “TASHA TO WIN! ! she is divine x #StrictlyComeDancing.” Another prediction came from a fan who said: “Tasha is going to win Strictly this year, I’m calling it now.” And another added: “Wow Tasha and Aljaz tonight.”
