Holly Willoughby has spoken out and received a flood of support in the wake of Phillip Schofield’s TV comeback. The star shared an update on her Instagram, posting images of herself with balloons and marking the third anniversary of her brand, Wylde Moon.

Holly penned: “Join our 3rd birthday celebrations with 20% off perfume, wax melts, diffusers and travel minis…Just wanted to say a huge thank you for having been such a special part of our journey. Here’s to more years of connection and beautiful moments ahead.”

This announcement came shortly after news that Holly’s ex-colleague from This Morning, Phillip Schofield, is set to make his TV return. He’ll be hosting his new show Cast Away where he spends time alone on a deserted island.

Phillip Schofield, former host of This Morning, left the show following revelations of an affair with a younger colleague also working on the programme. At the time, he described his actions as “unwise but not illegal”.

Following this, he stepped down from the daytime show and all other ITV roles. He spent 10 days over the summer in isolation on a remote island off Madagascar’s coast.

In a social media post, he shared: “Now you know how I spent my Summer! Alone for 10 days, no food, no water, no crew. My story of survival, both on a desert island and off it,”. He added, “This is most definitely a first for me and the only thing I felt compelled to do. It appealed to me on so many levels. I’ve recently had a lot of time to think about my life, what went right and what went wrong, but I’ve always had the safe arms of friends and family wrapped around me.”

The show documenting his ten-day isolation will air over three consecutive nights, starting Monday and concluding next Wednesday.

Channel 5 has stated that Schofield’s solitary experience will allow him “to confront the challenges of total isolation, the forces of nature and provides the time to battle within his own mind as he explores his own controversial story.”
