Police have launched a probe following an attempted murder in Greenock this morning.
Cops were called to West Blackhall Street at around 12.10am on Saturday, September 28 after reports of a 21-year-old man being found injured. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
West Blackhall Street at Jamaica Street in Greenock is currently taped off while investigations are carried out.
Detective Inspector Euan McMillan said: “We are looking for any witnesses who had been in the area around the time of this incident to contact police.
“Additionally, anyone with any CCTV or dash-cam footage around this time which may assist in our enquiries is asked to come forward.”
