A roaring inferno has engulfed a flat during an early morning blaze as hero firefighters raced to the scene.
The fire broke out at a flat on Saughton Mains in Edinburgh shortly before 6am on September 28 with crews still battling the blaze hours later.
Shocking footage shows huge ferocious flames destroying the first-floor property with several fire engines outside. Crews remained at the scene at 9am. The cause of the fire is currently known and it is unconfirmed if there are any casualties.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they received a report of a fire at a flat in Edinburgh at 5.54am and three appliances remain at the scene.
