Three men have been arrested and charged after cops discovered a multi-million pound cannabis farm in a Scots town.
A major bust in Irvine town centre saw police seize a huge quantity of plants worth an estimated street value of £1.2million and £1.8million.
Three men, aged 38, 30 and 29 were arrested and charged following the raid at Bridgegate in the North Ayrshire town on Wednesday, September 27 around 12.30pm.
The men appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, September 27.
Police say reports were submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A statement from Police Scotland on Saturday said: “Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences in Irvine.
“Around 12.30pm on Wednesday, 25 September, 2024, officers discovered a cannabis cultivation in the Bridgegate area with an estimated street value of between £1.2 and £1.8million.
“The men, aged 38, 30 and 29 are appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, 27 September, 2024.
“Reports were submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
