A heartbroken family has paid tribute to a Scots gran who died in a horror crash describing her as a “loving mother, wife, grandma and daughter-in-law”.
The 59-year-old woman who passed away following a crash on the A737 near Howwood has been named as Lesley McTear from the Dreghorn.
The incident took place at 3.10am on Monday, 23 September when officers were called to the crash involving a Mercedes A-class car and a MAN box van. Many calls around that time also reported six horses running loose on the A737.
Police and Ambulance attended and the 59-year-old woman, a passenger in the Mercedes was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Four horses also died in the collision.
Her family has paid the following tribute to her: “Lesley was a loving wife, mother, grandma and daughter-in-law. As a family, we are deeply saddened by the events that have caused such a void in our family.
“Lesley was the glue that kept us all together and anyone who was lucky enough to know Lesley was showered by her unconditional love.”
Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has died and everyone involved.
“Our enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances and anyone who can assist with our investigation who has not already spoken to officers is asked to get in touch.”
