Dumfries and Galloway Council has publish its new British Sign Language (BSL) plan
The updated policy aims to make the region a better place for BSL users to live, work and learn.
It was developed through engagement with the local community reflects insights provided by participants.
The plan will cover the next six years and seeks to ensure council services are accessible for BSL users.
Other key points include working with the BSL community to develop access to transport and travel information, as well as employment opportunities.
Council Leader Gail Macgregor said: “Our council is committed to equality of opportunity for all people within our community.
“Our BSL Plan reflects this commitment by ensuring BSL users have equal access to information, services and opportunities within our council.”
