A coastal community is looking to find out the level of housing demand in the area.
Colvend and Southwick Community Council and South of Scotland Community Housing have launched a housing survey to find out the need for housing as part of the development of a local place plan.
The results will help develop an understanding of the current and future suitability of housing stock and help future housing projects meet the needs and desires of locals.
The survey will cover the settlements of Colvend, Barnbarroch, Kippford, Rockcliffe, Portling, Sandyhills, Caulkerbush and Mainsriddle and aims to see what can be done to ensure it remains a bustling place to call home, allowing younger generations to stay in the area as well as attract new ones.
The survey has been designed to gather valuable feedback to help understand what type, tenure and scale of housing the community may need in the future and the community council is keen to hear from as many people as possible, including local residents and anyone with an interest in living in the area.
The survey can be completed at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WBCI18 and paper copies are available from the information centre beside the shop in Colvend.
