(CNN) – The only scheduled debate between the vice presidential nominees is set for Tuesday night in New York City.

The high-stakes 90-minute matchup between Democratic Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota and Republican Sen. JD Vance will air on CBS News.

According to the network, unlike the presidential debates, the candidates’ microphones will not be muted.

There will be no opening statements and no studio audience.

The candidates will have two minutes to answer each question, and the other candidate will have two minutes to respond.

One minute will be allowed for additional rebuttals. An additional minute to continue a topic may be given at the moderators’ discretion.

The candidates will be given a pen, a pad of paper and a water bottle. But no props or pre-written notes are allowed.

The vice presidential debate will be moderated by Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan.
