BBC Radio 2 DJ Zoe Ball was among the scores of Strictly Come Dancing fans left “gutted” by the result on Sunday night, sharing her dismay on social media with a host of other celebs.
Doomed to dance no more come Saturday evening, Tom Dean and Nadiya Bychkova became the first duo to depart from Strictly Come Dancing 2024 this on Sunday, September 29.
After their dance-off challenge against Toyah Willcox and her partner Neil Jones on Sunday night, Tom Dean expressed his sorrow at exiting the BBC One extravaganza. Meanwhile, Nadiya turned to Instagram to voice her feelings in a bombshell post.
“I really appreciate all the messages but I’m not ready to talk about what happened tonight just yet” she wrote, prompting a flood of replies from her 193k followers. Zoe Ball chimed in with: “love you Lady. gutted for you and Tom.”, reports the Mirror.
Other famous names swiftly echoed the sentiment. Ex-BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker reacted to Nadiya’s post with a double take of mind-blown emojis. Presenter Helen Skelton similarly showcased her disappointment with a tearful emoji, remarking: “Such a shame.”
Yet, Nadiya wasn’t short of sympathy from fellow competitors within the beloved dance contest.
Dianne Buswell and Johannes Radebe kept spirits up commenting: “team golden”, adorned with heart emojis, echoing Tasha Ghouri, Dr Punam Krishan, and Sam Quek, who also put forth their own emoji responses to convey their commiserations.
Nadiya Bychkova couldn’t hide her admiration for partner Tom Fletcher when Tess Daly inquired about their Strictly journey, saying: “To get to know him, he’s not just a three-time Olympic champion he’s a true gentleman and he taught me how to work really hard and how to put everything in. And you know what? On this programme, sometimes to win, you don’t need to win, and that’s how I feel this year.”
The competition heats up as the remaining 14 couples prepare for next week’s much-anticipated Movie Week Special.
