AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened at a North Austin apartment complex on Monday night.
The incident happened in the 9100 block of Northgate Blvd., near the intersection of Metric Boulevard and West Rundberg Lane.
APD said it received multiple 911 calls around 8:20 p.m. reporting shots fired.
Officers arriving on the scene located a victim “with obvious signs of trauma.” Despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced dead at 9:01 p.m.
Police do not have any information on a suspect at this time.
It’s believed to have been an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
