Britney Spears has revealed she lost her eyebrows and eyelashes and suffered facial burns after a fire blew up in her face.
The Baby One More Time hitmaker, 42, was left in pain for hours but decided not to go to hospital after she attempted to turn on a fire in her bedroom.
Taking on a bizarre British accent, she told her Instagram followers on Monday that the incident was both scary and dangerous.
“Six months ago something happened that was really, really dangerous. I was in my room and I turned the fire on and all of a sudden it blew up in my face.”
Spears said that she normally gets her security to ignite the fire and is living in fear that it will “blow up” again.
She said: It’s done it before, and the times it’s done it before, I quit so I always get my security to come in and light it for me because I was scared it was going to blow up.
“But this time, I just threw the whole thing in there and it literally blew into my face and it took all my eyelashes off, my eyebrows.
“And see this baby hair? These baby bangs? This is from basically six months ago.”
Britney said she was worried she was going to have to go to the emergency room during the accident.

“It’s all my hair and the person I was with would just not wake up and I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room and all that ’cause my face was like on fire! I was like wait – third degree, second degree burns, like what can happen? Cause my whole face went in.
“It fizzled all my hair. The person I was with would not wake up and I thought I’d have to go to the emergency room because my face was on fire.
‘But then it hurt to even touch my phone. It hurt to put ice on my face. It hurt anything to just touch it.
“So this lasted for like six or seven hours. It happened at like three o’ clock in the morning.
“The pain never went away. It was so, so, so bad. And then so finally I took three Tylenols, which is like … Tylenol is like a really, really big deal for me.
“It’s like a f**king Vicodin or something. But I took three and finally I went to sleep. But yeah it was really bad. All is good now.”
The incident took place four years after Britney accidentally burnt down her home gym with two candles.
In 2020, she revealed: “It was an accident… but yes… I burnt it down. I walked past the door to the gym and flames… BOOM!!!!
“By the Grace of God the alarm went off… I burnt my gym down. Unfortunately.
“I had two candles, and, yeah, one thing lead to another, and I burnt it down.”
In the 1990s and early 2000s, Spears sold over 150 million records worldwide including Oops!… I Did It Again, Lucky and Stronger.
Britney, whose 13-year conservatorship battle ended in 2021, lives in a mansion in Los Angeles.
