Janet Jackson has cancelled her Glasgow gig for the second time.

Initially, the singer was meant to take to the stage at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on September 30, but rescheduled the show to October 13, which is part of her Together Again world tour.

However, the Scream icon has since cancelled the show and the tickets will be refunded.

Fans with tickets received an email from the venue informing them that the Glasgow show had been cancelled indefinitely with refunds to be issued.

The email read: “The event organiser has been in touch to let us know that due to unforeseen scheduling difficulties the show on October 13, 2024 has been cancelled.

“We’re issuing a refund for your booking – so you don’t need to do a thing. You’ll see a credit onto the method of payment you used within 15 days.

“If you sold your tickets through Ticketmaster and haven’t already received payment, your sale will not go ahead – you will be refunded the cost of your original booking instead.”

Part of the Together Again UK Tour, the Miss You Much and Escapade singer had been due to play Glasgow alongside Manchester, Birmingham and London.

A spokesperson for the tour said: “The Together Again Tour will offer everyone the chance to reunite with Ms. Jackson in celebration of her 50th anniversary in entertainment and spotlight the milestone for one of her most critically acclaimed albums – 35 years of “Rhythm Nation” featuring her biggest chart-topping hits.”

Promoters Live Nation have been contacted for comment but at the time of writing had yet to respond.
