Coleen Nolan is trying to set her Loose Women pal Ruth Langsford up with a new man after splitting from Eamonn Holmes, an insider has claimed
Ruth and Eamonn’s relationship surprisingly ended earlier this year, but a source has claimed that the TV star might be ready to find love again.
According to Bella Magazine, Ruth has enlisted the help of her long-time friend Coleen in a bid to find a new man.
The insider said: “Coleen wants Ruth to know this isn’t the end of the road and that she will meet someone new. The thought of a blind date terrifies Ruth, but she’s game for a giggle and Coleen is more than up for trying to set her up with someone.”
It has been suggested that while Ruth was reticent about getting back on the dating scene, she has been reminded by her close friend of how ‘desired’ she is.
The source added: “Right now though, Ruth wants to give herself more time before diving in. Coleen has told her that ‘it’s out with the old, and in with the new’ – and the two have been going out and having fun. Ruth has no idea how desired she is – men will be lining up to date her.”
After it was revealed that Ruth and Eamonn would be calling it a day on their marriage earlier this year, rumours began to circulate that it could be due to messages found on the GB News presenter’s laptop. With the news that Ruth may be on the look out for a new man, Eamonn was spotted enjoying some time away last month with his new love interest, Katie Alexander. The pair were snapped heading off on their first trip abroad together, as they boarded a luxury cruise to the Mediterranean.
Before they split, Ruth and Eamonn had been married for 14 years with the pair regularly appearing together to present This Morning on ITV, while they began dating in 1996.
A representative for Coleen Nolan has been contacted for comment.
