TV fans are being hit by ‘nostalgia waves’ after a pair of 00s TV presenters teased a new project.
Instagram practically exploded with joy when Miquita Oliver posted pictures of herself with her former T4 co-star Steve Jones, 47.
The TV icons went bowling at Finsbury Park institution Rowans with Miquita, 40, revealing they had been ‘cooking up new ideas.’
The Miss Me podcaster captioned her post: ‘Took my love – and my 2nd Tv husband, to my favourite place. Thank you ROWANS for being the perfect scene for @steveashtonjones and I to cook up new ideas.’
Their outing delighted their former colleagues including Rick Edwards, who exclaimed: ‘YES ROWANS YES STEVE.’
Miquita’s 154K followers were similarly thrilled with Laura Stevens announcing’nostalgia waves are hitting me.’
Siobhan Emily branded the duo ‘the dream team,’, while Joshua Dixon said they were ‘the T4 GOATS.’
Remarking on how Miquita and Steve hadn’t aged a day, Angie Redford commented: ‘Like a fine wine.’
Steve was a co-presenter on irreverent music show T4 from from 2003 until his departure seven years later.
Miquita, meanwhile, joined the programme in 2006 and left in 2010 when she was overheard insulting Kesha by the singer’s management and her contract was not renewed.
After T4, Steve went on to present The X Factor USA, one-off ITV special A Night with Beyonce and became a guest presenter on This Morning last year.
Miquita progressed to radio, hosting shows BBC Radio One and BBC Radio 1Xtra but claimed to Heat Magazine that she was fired after calling Fearne Cotton a ‘devil woman’ in NME.
In 2011, she filed for bankruptcy after non-payment of a tax bill and two years later fronted documentary Young, British and Broke: The Truth about Payday Loans for the BBC.
After that programme, Miquita was rarely seen on screen but made a brief comeback as part of the four-part BBC series 24 Hours in the Past in 2015 – and has now had a career revival.
She currently hosts hit podcast Miss Me? with friend Lily Allen and has worked as a guest presenter on Sunday Brunch, among other broadcasting ventures.
Miquita recently said about feeling ‘confused emotions’ her career had reignited after she lost weight on Miss Me?.
She said: ‘I find that a really difficult thing because when I lost loads of weight, my career came back.
‘I was also very focused, but [weight loss] was a huge part of it, and I have really confused emotions about that, because I’ve never been less good at my job, but I lost a lot of opportunities because of the way I was looking.
