Looking to keep warm and save on your heating bills this autumn and winter? Then you might want to invest in a heated throw.
These days, there are many different styles available for you to check out. Fortunately, we have done the hunting and found one that Debenhams shoppers say has them “turning off the heating” – and it’s on sale for 25 percent less.
The Comfy Hugs Electric Heated Throw from trusted brand Slumberdown has been dropped in the retailer’s massive sale. Usually retailing at £71, this blanket now costs just £53.01 – saving almost £18 off the RRP.
This one-size blanket has been crafted from a snuggly fleece material that makes it ideal for wrapping up in on these chilly evenings. Described as “toasty warm” in reviews, it can be bought in three colours – plum, navy and charcoal.
It comes with nine temperature settings for you to select from for a “gentle” heat. Meanwhile, the detachable controller means that you can easily pop it into the washing machine when it needs a bit of freshen up.
Boasting multiple positive reviews, the Slumberdown Comfy Hugs Electric Heated Throw is a popular choice for the cold season among many shoppers who say it keeps them so “cosy” that they have “no need” for the central heating.
One delighted customer wrote: “It’s perfect for what I want. That is, being kept warm whilst watching evening t.v., whilst also saving money by not needing the heating on. I find number 5 is enough for several hours. Like a previous reviewer says, it is a subtle thermostatic warmth so don’t expect it to be very hot.”

Someone else agreed: “Brilliant, super cosy and saving me money on my central heating.”
A third shopper penned: “This soft throw has kept me warm and cosy wherever I am. No need to turn on the central heating!”
Another added: “Cosy, comfortable, delightful. We turn the heating off and put our throw on. It’s a no brainer!”
And someone else agreed: “Super soft, easy to follow instructions and supremely toasty warm. Bought for my 84 year old mum who struggles to get and keep warm (and doesn’t want to put the heating on). This does the job of gently heating her up and keeps her warm.”
Some shoppers did find that the heat wasn’t as warm as they preferred, as one wrote: “Lovely throw, not the hottest but decent if you always feel the cold.”
