Married At First Sight’s current season is stirring up quite the commotion with the latest cliffhangers and turbulence among the new pairings, as witnessed on E4.

The off-screen excitement has also heightened as viewers share their opinions fervently across social media platforms, expressing dissatisfaction with the programme.

Tuesday evening’s instalment escalated when a dinner party hosted for the couples led to intense confrontations among several duos.

Post-show discussions ignited on X, previously recognised as Twitter, where a spectator challenged the methodology of the dating gurus, Paul C Brunson, Charlene Douglas, and Mel Schilling.

A fan remarked: “Experts need to stop this nonsense pretending they don’t see any footage and start outing people like Eve to the group #MAFSUK.”, reports the Mirror.

Paul C Brunson countered the assumption in response: “For the record, we don’t see any footage. This is what makes it so challenging for us.”

“We only see what happens at the dinner parties and commitment ceremonies. Everything else we see for the first time with you when the show airs.”

In the latest episode, Charlie and Eve, a couple facing marital difficulties, presented a unified stance upon their arrival at the dinner social.

Polly, confidante to Eve in earlier times, commented to Holly: “Eve and Charlie, I don’t have high hopes for them at all. It’s giving toxic.”

Holly, emotionally affected by the situation, said: “It actually upsets me because Eve has such a big heart and she genuinely just wants to be loved.”

Polly harshly labelled Charlie as “mean” and a “little bit of a bully”.

After the episode aired, the reality star expressed her remorse on Instagram stories for her previous remarks.

She penned: “Please remember to keep an open mind with things on TV. We saw a lot of Eve most days and nights as she was always with one of us, and Charlie hardly ever while we were in the apartments.”

“Inclined to trust those you’re close with, you tend to believe what they tell you about their partner if you haven’t seen much of them or heard their side of the story.”

“It’s really upsetting to see how blindsided we all were with this situation but please know I and the other girls did apologise profusely to Charlie and we are all good.”

Married At First Sight UK airs Monday to Thursday at 9pm on E4 and 4OD.
