A police probe is underway after four people were rushed to hospital following a crash between two cars and two pedestrians on a Scots road.
The collision took place on the A82, near the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel, between Inverness and Drumnadrochit, on Thursday, October 3.
Road Policing officers from Police Scotland are now appealing for information over the “serious crash”, which took place at around midday and involved two pedestrians, a white Audi A3, and a blue Dacia Duster.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and a 37-year-old, who was one of the pedestrians, was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.
Medical staff have described his condition as serious but stable. A 61-year-old man, the other pedestrian, was also taken to hospital for assessment.
The driver of the Dacia Duster, a 67-year-old man, and his 66-year-old female passenger were also taken to hospital to be checked over.
The road was closed to allow for investigations to be carried out and re-opened at around 4.50pm.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: “Our enquiries are ongoing, and I am appealing for anyone who has any information to contact us.
“I would particularly appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who witnessed the crash or who has dash cam footage which may assist to get in touch.”
