Pupils at Alexander Peden Primary in Harthill saddled up and enjoyed organising a charity coffee morning with a country and western theme.

The pupils, led by acting headteacher Stephen Whiteside and primary seven teacher Haven Bain, held the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning in the school with parents and grandparents enjoying a cuppa sampling the delicious cakes on offer.

As with every year, the coffee morning was themed with pupils choosing country and western as this year’s coffee morning concept.

Each class entertained those present with songs with the school’s primary seven class taking charge of both the show and the raffle. The morning raised in excess of £2300 for Macmillan.
