BECKLEY, W.Va. -Hospice of Southern West Virginia is raffling a classic vehicle to help expand the organization. The money for the 1983 El Camino generated by the upcoming raffle to own it will help hospice with their mission of mercy.
Hospice of Southern West Virginia provides end of life care to people living with a terminal diagnosis in the community. Hospice staff share their gratitude for this extraordinary gift.
“Then you top that off with a donation like this that allows us to continue to be able to take care of people in southern West Virginia. It really just goes to show who we are as a community,” said Jeri Knowlton, Director of Public Relations for Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
Wooden Nickel Used Cars and Performance LLC was in the driver’s seat to clean and detail this classic El Camino. The work they put into it shines through, virtually turning back the hands of time to the moment when it was in a showroom back in the 1980′s.
The goal is to maximize interest in owning the vehicle, to generate as much money as possible to help hospice, a non-profit that helps so many.
“Hospice of Southern West Virginia makes a tremendous impact on lives across Southern West Virginia in Fayette, Raleigh, Wyoming, and Summer counties. What we know is that the compassionate care that our team provides to people who are end of life, who need that physical, that emotional and that spiritual support in those last days and their families as well,” said Knowlton.
If you want a shot at this classic vehicle, you can go online for raffle ticket information. Each chance costs twenty-five dollars, but the vehicle is worth upwards of at least ten thousand dollars. For more info on the raffle head to Hospice of Southern West Viginia’s website.
