Outlander star Sam Heughan has been busy travelling around the country to promote his premium Sassenach Spirits brand – but now he’s leaving for a sunnier location.
The actor, who plays the beloved character Jamie Fraser in the Starz series, has been keeping fans up to date on his latest movements via social media.
Filming for Outlander season 8 recently wrapped, with Claire Fraser star Caitriona Balfe and her fellow castmates filming their final-ever scenes for the historical fantasy drama.
The second half of Outlander season 7 also drops on Starz this Autumn, meaning it has been a full-on time for the cast and crew.
However, this hasn’t stopped Sam from also travelling around the UK to promote Sassenach Spirits, a spirits line he created which includes a premium blended Scotch.
Most recently, the actor took a trip to the North of Scotland, where he revealed he would soon be heading to a totally different location across the pond.
In view of his 4.3 million Instagram followers, Sam shared a new video announcing his journey to San Francisco, California.
Holding up a bottle of whiskey, Sam asked his fans: “Northern California, are you ready?
“Yes! The Sassenach is coming to you. I’m so excited to say that we will be travelling all the way from the Highlands of Scotland to see you guys in the Bay Area on October 7.
“We’ll be in San Fransico signing bottles of Sassenach whisky, our multi-award-winning whisky, maybe a wee dram with you guys as well.
“So come on down. Come say hi. I can’t wait to see you all there,” he added, before saying “Slàinte mhath”, which is Gaelic for “cheers”.
He also wrote in the accompanying caption: “From the North of Scotland… to NoCal!
Our first Bay Area visit.
“Signing bottles of @sassenachspirits and perhaps sharing a dram or two!

Fans quickly took to the comments section to express their excitement over Sam’s brand-new adventure thousands of miles away.
“I’ll see you Monday!! Slainte!” one enthused, as another exclaimed: What?!?! My home town! Looks like I’ll be heading home!!!!” (sic)
“Hope it’s an awesome event!!” a third fan penned, as one more questioned: “Oh only 3 hours from me… do I make the trip? Haha.” (sic)
“What good news! Our Californian friends are very lucky. Enjoy!” one commented wistfully, as another echoed the sentiment with: “Wish I can be there! Love you beautiful man! Slainte.” (sic)
One more gushed: “Can’t wait to see you there. This has been my fav whiskey since the first moment it was released!!” (sic)
