PRINCETON, W.Va. – The cancer program at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital has been re-accredited, and is now one of ten hospitals in the state to be accredited by the Commission on Cancer.
Princeton Community Hospital (PCH) said to earn the voluntary accreditation, a cancer program must meet 34 Commission on Cancer quality care standards, be evaluated every three years through a survey process, and maintain levels of excellence in the delivery of comprehensive patient-centered care.
“We are honored to receive this accreditation, which validates the hard work and dedication of our entire cancer care team,” said Karen Bowling, PCH president and CEO. “Our goal has always been to deliver the best possible care to our patients, and this recognition affirms that we are succeeding in that mission.”
The Commission on Cancer Accreditation Program provides the framework for PCH to improve the quality of patient care through different cancer-related programs that focus on the whole spectrum of cancer care.
