Annan are determined to bounce back tomorrow in their home tussle with Montrose after a dismal run of results.
They have not won in their last six games and player boss Wullie Gibson will be missing influential striker Tommy Goss for the clash with the Gable Endies.
He was red carded in last weekend’s 3-0 defeat at Kelty Hearts and automatically misses tomorrow’s game.
Gibson snapped up Rhys Breen on loan from Dunfermline to beef up his defence and handed him a debut at New Central Park.
Now Breen, a former Queen of the South player and Rangers hit kid, will make his Galabank debut.
Gibson said: “We have now had two back-to-back defeats on the road and away games are always difficult,
“It’s frustrating and we need to be hard to beat.
“But we find ourselves having not been good enough in the last six games.
“It is really important to add strength to the back line and stop giving away cheap goals. So I got Rhys in, who I know well.
“He is a big boy and physical so hopefully he can help us kick on.”
Meanwhile, Annan stage their annual meeting on Tuesday, October 29 in the clubhouse starting at 7.30pm.
Three places on the Annan Athletic board are available and applications to stand for election are now open. Any applicant must be at least 16 years of age, and be a fully paid-up shareholder.
Applications should be returned to the club secretary by midnight on Wednesday, October 16.
They should be sent to [email protected]
