WYTHE COUNTY, Va. – Wythe County is offering in-person help to people living in Wythe County who have experienced damages or losses because of Hurricane Helene.

Starting Oct. 7, the Wythe County Department of Emergency Services is providing FEMA disaster assistance support at its office located at 440 W. Franklin Street in Wytheville. The County will also help people with completing disaster recovery forms.

The office will be open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes helping residents with the FEMA disaster recovery application process.

People can also call the office during those hours at 276-223-4144.

Residents may also file for assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by phone at 1-800-621-3362, or through the FEMA app.
