Good Morning Britain‘s Rob Rinder left his ITV colleagues floored as he took a dig at one of the channel’s major shows live on air.

The 46-year-old criminal barrister and television personality was back on hosting duty alongside Kate Garraway on Friday (October 4) morning, waking up the nation with the latest news headlines.

Showbiz editor Richard Arnold presented his entertainment segment live from the Big Brother house ahead of the show’s eagerly-awaited return on Sunday (October 6) evening live on ITV2. Richard offered viewers a sneak peek at the interior of Britain’s most famous house and was joined in the kitchen by last year’s winner Jordan Sangha, who shared his own experience.

As Richard concluded his chat with Jordan, Rob informed viewers that he “will not be watching” the reality show when it returns to ITV this weekend. Kate then asked: “Are you not a fan? ” and competition host Andi Peters joked: “If you’re not here next Friday then we know why”, referring to Big Brother airing on the same channel as Good Morning Britain.

Will confessed he’s been scrambling for emergency physio treatment for his neck, feeling jittery about his capability to deliver on the show that was about to launch. He explained: “It’s always good to just before the biggest show of the year, when you’re going to be live for six weeks, with all kinds of mad stuff, to not be able to move.”

On Capital Breakfast, Will opened up to hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark, and Sian Welby about his troubles. When Jordan inquired about the specifics of his neck issue, asking, “So yeah you’ve got a sore neck you were saying?”

It’s always good to just before the biggest show of the year, when you’re going to be live for six weeks, with all kinds of mad stuff, to not be able to move. So I’m sorry Chris I can’t really look at you [laughs], you’re on the wrong side! “.

Sian made light of the situation, commenting on the practicality of spinny chairs, prompting Will to joke about managing the live show from one. Additionally, Jordan mentioned AJ’s circumstance saying “AJ’s lost her voice as well…” to which Will confirmed: “AJ’s lost her voice as well, yeah sorry, I saw her yesterday, we did a podcast record. That’s why she’s not doing radio today!”
