Prince Louis, the youngest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton is known to be quite the character. The six-year-old royal is frequently spotted being a cheeky chap, pulling amusing faces at his mum, or having fun with his siblings and cousins.
At one of his first royal engagements in 2023, Prince Louis’s personality shone through as he joined his family at the Big Help Out event in Slough.
The young prince lent a hand at the 3rd Upton Scouts Hut, where he was seen painting, repairing a path, and energetically pushing a wheelbarrow alongside Kate, the Express reports.
His elder brother, 11-year-old Prince George, also participated, operating a digger under the guidance of their father, Prince William.
Upon noticing Prince George on the digger, an eager Prince Louis expressed to mum Kate: “I want to go in with him! ” After contributing his efforts, Louis enjoyed a treat of toasted marshmallows turned into s’mores, licking the sticky sweetness from his fingers before diving into the snack.
Meanwhile, Prince William’s humorous side was on display as he quipped: “You won’t hear a peep out of him now”, eliciting laughter from those gathered.
As the event wound down, Princess Kate prompted Louis to dispose of his stick, inadvertently revealing her affectionate nickname for him. “Pop that on the fire, Lou-bugs,” she instructed.
Scout leader Simon Carter relayed to HELLO! how the Royal family took a trip to Slough, mentioning: “[Prince Louis] was really excited. They all got presented with a Big Help Out badge at the end, so they all got a Scouts scarf.
“He was the one who ran away with the wheelbarrow. He was the one who was digging sand and getting stuck in and doing things.”
Prince Louis has consistently been the centre of attention, most notably during his antics at the Platinum Jubilee Pageant while seated in front of Buckingham Palace, where he humorously gestured towards Princess Kate.
The young prince was spotted placing his hand over his mother’s mouth and humorously tweaking his own nose with his thumb at various stages during the procession.
Further adding to his cheeky display, he covered his eyes, yawned broadly, and then toddled over to Prince William, settling on the duke’s knee as the crowning event of the Jubilee weekend commenced.
