School of Rock co-stars Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli have ‘revealed they are engaged’ 21 years after appearing in the iconic 00s film.
Starring Jack Black, Joan Cusack, Miranda Cosgrove, and Kevin Clark, the 2003 film followed rock enthusiast and guitarist Dewey Finn (Black) who poses as a substitute teacher at an elite private school when desperate for cash.
Now let loose in the classroom, Finn gets to work teaching the students about rock’n’roll, forming a band to compete at the local Battle of the Bands competition.
Caitlin and Angelo starred as classmates in the beloved film, with sparks flying that led to them becoming an item in 2016.
And it now appears the couple will be saying ‘I do’ after Caitlin shared some gorgeous professional snaps on her Instagram page sporting a large diamond ring.
Dressed in an elegant strapless dress, Caitlin cuddled up to Angelo in the loved-up snaps which are reminiscent of an engagement shoot.
She simply captioned the post: ‘Sneak peek’ with a kissing emoji.
Their followers gushed over the adorable couple, with their School of Rock co-star Rivkah Reyes commenting: ‘BABESSS.’
Instagram user 102olivia joked: ‘So rock n roll IS about scoring chicks!’, referencing an iconic quote from the film.
The couple revealed their relationship in 2021, sharing that they began dating five years prior.
Describing how they met during an audition for School Of Rock, Angelo told Inside Edition: ‘I get in there and the little blonde girl next to me, she gets called in first and she starts singing show tunes and just blows the roof off the place. It was excellent.’
Following their time in the film, they reconnected when Caitlin moved to Florida, where Angelo was living at the time.
Angelo went on to star as Bobby Jr in The Sopranos until 2007 when he left the world of acting and went into law.
He moved to New York and became an attorney, while Caitlin works as an OB-GYN sonographer and regularly advocates for those suffering from endometriosis on her Instagram page.
In a post from 2021, she thanked Angelo for his support following a laparoscopic endometriosis excision surgery, which involves removing endometriosis tissue from the body.
Sharing a picture of her lying in a hospital bed with her partner at her side, Caitlin wrote: ‘Happy Endometriosis Awareness month! It’s been 4 weeks since my second laparoscopic endometriosis excision surgery.
‘I can’t thank Dr. Seckin, Dr. Goldstein, and the @seckinmd team enough for their attentive care and thoughtfulness throughout the entire process.
‘And, of course, couldn’t have done it without @angelo_massagli waiting on me hand and foot during my two weeks of bed rest!’
