TAZEWELL, Va. -Aylssa Keen is a 14-year-old small town girl from Richlands. Her modeling aspirations recently took her to New York City, along with her six-year-old pageant little sister Kinsley Dales.

These two girls stand as brand ambassadors for Harper and Enigma clothing brand.

While the city was a new experience for the girls, Keen says it was an experience to remember for this small-town girl.

“It was definitely different. People, like, there were so many people, too many people for my likings. It was very, very different than being a small-town girl going to the big city. It was very different,” said Aylssa Keen, Teen Miss Southern Virginia.

While strutting down the runway, smiling during photo shoots, wearing custom outfits and more. The doors have opened to more travel.

“So, we get to go to Kentucky and do another photo shoot in Lexington, and it really just goes out from there. I’m pretty sure we’re getting to do more photo shoots besides, you know, Kentucky and Lexington. We got an offer to go back in February for New York,” said Keen.

These girls are determined to continue walking down the runway following it as far as it may take them, but they want everyone to know the foundation of their success so far is rooted in self-confidence.

“That you can really do anything you put your mind to. That’s the main goal. As long as you’re confident. Confident is key. If you are confident, you can do anything you set your mind to,” said Keen.

“Everyone to know they’re beautiful because God made them that way in his image,” said Kinsley Dales, SGG Mega Majestic Supreme.

Keen and Dales say they have been asked to return to New York next year.
