ATLANTA (WANF/Gray News) – Authorities in Georgia say a man is dead after confronting someone breaking into his vehicle during the overnight hours on Thursday.
Atlanta police say the shooting happened just after midnight at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Huff Road – between Marietta Boulevard and Howell Mill Road.
According to police, the car owner was shot and killed when he tried to confront the person who was breaking into his car.
Officers said the would-be carjacker is still on the run.
