Brits were left gobsmacked by the delicious offerings at a McDonald’s in Tenerife, Spain.

Tenerife-based TikToker @theknightstrider1 showed off the McDonald’s menu on the island in a recent video. The breakfast selection boasts delectable pastries and sweet treats not found in UK branches, including two varieties of “McDalena” muffins and “Mini Cronuts” – a croissant-doughnut hybrid.

The “McPops” also caught attention, mini donuts stuffed with various fillings, alongside the familiar sausage and bacon McMuffin favourites. And when it comes to dessert, the McDonald’s boasted both Milkybar and Biscoff McFlurries as well as an array of exciting “mad cool” flavours. There were also several flavours of ice cream sundae, as well as more standard options such as the classic apple pie.

Another “new” addition was the McRib, featured on the main menu. The much-loved sandwich last appeared at McDonald’s restaurants in the UK back in 2015 and quickly became a fan favourite. McDonald’s finally confirmed it was returning to the UK earlier this week!

The TikTok user also highlighted the “Triple Chicken Mayo” burger as a favourite among British tourists in Tenerife. It’s exactly as it sounds – a standard chicken mayo burger with three, rather than one, pieces of breaded chicken.

There was one menu item in particular that caught the eye of those who commented on the video. One person said: “Omg the McRib, bring it back to the UK McDonald’s.” Little did they know McDonald’s would make the announcement a few days after their comment was posted.

But it wasn’t just the McRib causing a stir online. A second person enthused: “Omg the mcpops are amazing.” Meanwhile, another missed the classic desserts, adding: “Miss the sundae ice creams.”

Others suggested that even the menu items that we do have in the UK taste better in Spain, with another commenter saying: “Had the sausage McMuffin when I went and I thought it was sooo much nicer than the ones in the UK, so much fresher not greasy… shame they don’t do hash browns just had wedges instead.”
