Tommy Fury has said that people will ‘regret their actions and unkind words’ in an explosive first interview after the Molly-Mae Hague breakup.
The 25-year-old boxer came under fire in August after his fiancee Molly-Mae, also 25, shared she was ‘extremely upset to announce’ that their five-year relationship was over.
The Love Island stars captured the nation’s heart with their sweet romance on the popular dating show. Now the previously engaged couple share a one-and-half year old daughter, Bambi.
At the time of their shocking split there were furious rumours that Tommy had cheated on Molly-Mae multiple times, which he has completely denied.
Critics also slammed his parenting, pointing to Molly-Mae’s prior comments about struggling to ‘solo-parent’.
In a new interview, the media personality confirmed he was ready to fight for his relationship with the influencer and reiterated his harsh stance against infidelity.
She was ‘the woman of my dreams’, Tommy recalled about seeing Molly-Mae on Love Island for the first time in 2019.
He added to MailOnline that ever since the breakup, he still loves Molly-Mae.
He said: ‘It is proper love. Do I still love Molly? 100 per cent. I will love her until my final breath.’
Tommy added that he knew what he ‘had to do in order to resolved things’ and that ‘nobody else can do that other than me’.
He hasn’t allowed social media speculation to affect him, saying that as long as his family and Jesus Christ believes he is a ‘good man’ he ‘doesn’t care what anybody else has to say’.
Although he has received backlash for his parenting, he said that Molly-Mae ‘couldn’t have picked a better father for Bambi’ and that there was ‘nothing more important’ to him than Bambi who ‘changed his life’.
He also used the new interview as a chance to make his feelings about having an affair clear, saying ‘all the allegations… are completely false.’
The podcaster and soon-to-be published author continued: ‘The truth will come out in time and when it does I think a lot of people might regret their actions and unkind words. The whole world will, I reckon.
‘What the public thinks is going on isn’t what is going on. It’s not something I envisaged happening, but it didn’t come out of nowhere.
‘It’s a thing that was there previously to all this happening, but the only people who know what is going on in our relationship is between me and Molly.’
As for having various affairs, Tommy believes that you should just ‘call it a day’ if you ever ‘get to that stage’. But he has ‘never been tempted’ to cheat while in a relationship with Molly-Mae, he claimed.
Although both have remained tight-lipped about the underlying reasons for their breakup, Molly-Mae has been opening up more about her grieving and healing process.
She has used her YouTube channel, with 1.94 million subscribers, to share how she has made it through ‘hard’ evenings since becoming a single mum.
Unlike Tommy, who remains optimistic that their bond can be restored, in a video last month sources close to Molly-Mae doubled down on their relationship being over and her focus on the future.
In a recent interview with MailOnline, Molly-Mae confirmed she was focused on Bambi and the launch of her new line, Maebe, which has come at the perfect time to distract her.
She told the publication: ‘I have a really good feeling about this new era of my life and think it’s going to be so special and a great thing for me to focus on and put my time into as well as being a mum to Bambi.’
As for her new brand, she said: ‘It was really good timing for this to happen for me. It has all just aligned perfectly really.’
Although since then the brand has come under fire for its extortionate prices and problematic sizing.
Meanwhile, Tommy is gearing up for the release of his autobiography, Lightning Can Strike Twice: My Life As a Fury which now has an amended chapter addressing the split.
