Rod Stewart insisted on ensuring his surroundings matched his team colours as he watched Celtic win against Ross County.

Hoops mad fan Sir Rod, 79, decided to have lunch at the exclusive Loch Lomond Golf Club as he sat down to watch his favourite Bhoys play.

The swanky golf club, which has a joining fee in excess of £100,000, is not accessible to visitors and only allows members and their guests to enjoy their first class services.

The exclusive members club boasts a beautiful function room, sometimes used as a wedding venue which is decked out in green and white with green and white striped walls and green borders, matching green and white drapes and chandeliers.

The dress code for the club follows golf etiquette but Sir Rod swapped his golf spikes for green trainers and socks and a grey checked hooded top that echoed the tartan chair he was sitting on.

And despite the course’s history of hosting the Scottish Open before it moved to being a links-based tournament, the Maggie May singing legend seemed more interested in the football as he spent his Sunday there.

Rod is understood to be holidaying with wife Penny Lancaster and their two children at the golf resort.
