Rylan Clark was left blushing on his BBC Radio Two show ‘Rylan on Saturday’ when his mum, Linda Clark, affectionately known as the “Queen of Stepney Green”, made a surprise revelation. As reported by the Manchester Evening News, during a light-hearted segment, Linda disclosed that she had visited Rylan’s home after getting her “jabs” and ended up “stealing a screw” from him.
The conversation took a humorous turn when Linda confessed to doing a bit of laundry for Rylan, leading him to quickly clarify to his listeners “for the record”. Despite Rylan’s playful protests, Linda explained: “Well, I popped into you, didn’t I? Whilst I had me jabs”, with Rylan responding: “And you stole a screw off me.”
Linda continued, “Oh, I’ve done that, yeah. Done that. That’s all done there. I’ve took that back and your thing. Yeah, and I took your bit of washing back.”
Rylan tried to interject, “What washing? Mum, don’t…stop…leave my washing! ” but Linda went on: “I thought I might as well hang it out; it’s a lovely….wash it and hang it out. It’s a lovely day today.”
Rylan attempted to clear things up, saying, “Oh, alright. If it makes you happy, you do it. But just for the record, I don’t tell her to do this; she just does it.”, reports the Mirror.
The mother-son duo, who also appear together on Celebrity Gogglebox, have been seen enjoying time in Marbella with friends, as the Express has covered. During an unfortunate trip to Spain, Linda suffered a nasty fall which led to her breaking her arm and leg. Her devoted son swiftly arranged a private flight to get his mum safely back to British soil for her recuperation.
Fast forward to their recent sun-soaked getaway, the pair were pictured revelling in beachside bliss, with Rylan captioning an Instagram post: “The best holiday. Sad to be home but amazing memories.”
He further encouraged his fans by prompting, “Scroll along to see Linda loving life.”
