Travis Kelce celebrated his 35th birthday not just with cake and candles, but by giving back to the community.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end hosted his second annual Kelce Car Jam charity event in Kansas City on Saturday. The fundraiser and block party, which supports his 87 and Running Foundation, is dedicated to helping underprivileged kids in Kansas City and Cleveland.
The event was a glittering affair with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, among the guests. However, Kelce’s girlfriend, pop icon Taylor Swift, was absent despite US Weekly’s recent report suggesting: “Swift will likely be on hand to celebrate his October 5 birthday with family and friends at his Kelce Car Jam in Kansas City.”

Nonetheless, Swift’s presence was felt as her chart-topping tunes filled the venue, and Kelce showcased his classic 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, remembered for chauffeuring Swift after her debut Chiefs game last year.
Speaking on the ‘New Heights’ podcast, Kelce shared details about the event: “This year is the second year we’ve done a car show, basically a block-party style event, that will showcase some of the city’s top automobiles from the Fuel House, a fun car club out here,” adding, “And then I guess a bunch of others that are lined up. It’s gonna be fun. I should have my old school ’70 Chevelle all revved up and ready to rock and roll. If not, I’ll bring one of the other cars that I have.”
“It’s always a joy to be here in Kansas City. The people of Kansas City have shown up every single time I’ve done anything related to my foundation, and I love them for it,” Travis Kelce told Page Six at an event. He also confirmed that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, would be present at Arrowhead Stadium when the Chiefs face off against the New Orleans Saints on Monday, reports the Mirror.
“She won’t be here today, but I know she’s coming for the game,” he revealed. When asked about his birthday wish, the 35 year old responded: “I’ll take another Super Bowl if you got one of those.”
After attending the Chiefs’ first two games of the season, Swift has missed Kansas City’s last two matches, which were victories over the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers, respectively.
Despite Swift’s absence, Kelce delivered his best performance of the season in the Chiefs’ 17-10 victory over the Chargers last week. The nine-time Pro Bowler caught seven passes on nine attempts for 89 yards – a significant increase from his total yardage in the previous three games.
Whether Kelce has truly regained his form after a slow start to the year remains to be seen. In the first four weeks of the season, he hasn’t scored a touchdown or surpassed 100 receiving yards in any game.
