Initial thoughts
Honestly, I was delighted that I could put some LED light therapy to test without having to find a place for a bulky, fragile mask. The Beautypro Wand is sleek, pink, and just the size of my hand, exactly what I was looking for.
Despite the size, it’s multifunctional. The wand can switch between both blue and red lights, while the head can be used either horizontally or vertically to reach those smaller areas around your nose and eyes.
The red light works to smooth fine lines and boost firmness for a youthful complexion – something which at 24 I wasn’t too worried about – but the blue light is where the wand really came into its own.
Blue light wavelengths work to fade blemishes and enhance skin clarity. That was something that was really important to me, since I’m a self confessed picker with a few blemish scars.
I started off using the Beautypro Wand for around five minutes each on the blue and red settings each night before bed, (10 minutes in total), before eventually just settling on the blue light as that’s where I was seeing the difference.

The verdict
I really loved the way the Beautypro Wand made my skin feel every night. The vibration effect definitely left my skin immediately plumped, probably because of the increased blood flow, and it’s something I’ll now start doing before a night out or special occasions for super nice skin.
While the anti-wrinkle effect wasn’t what I was after, the blue light therapy has made a substantial difference to my skin. I’m a terrible night owl, so I was super thankful for a device that calmed down my dark circles, but best of all, the Beautypro Wand worked wonders on my uneven skin tone.
As well as brightening my face, the blue LED lights have made a noticable difference to old blemish scars, especially on my cheeks. When I find I have a particularly dark patch, working the device over it for a good while a couple of times a day seriously reduces the pigment, which was really impressive.
