A 22-year-old woman was rushed to hospital for treatment following a crash on a major Scots road.

Emergency services raced to the M74, at junction 3a, near Daldowie to reports of a collision involving a grey Ford Kuga around 3.05pm on Saturday, October 5.

The woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Road police have launched an appeal following the smash which saw the round closed for around 20 minutes.

Police Sergeant Stewart Taylor, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or who may have dashcam footage, to contact us as soon as possible. You may have captured something that can assist our enquiries.

“The road was fully closed for around twenty minutes. I want to thank members of the public for their patience while we investigated this serious crash.”
