Concerns are growing for the welfare of a missing woman who was last seen boarding a train in Edinburgh. Emma Shaw, 34, was seen in the Granton area of the city at around 5.30am on Monday.
She then made her way to Edinburgh Waverley Station and it is believed she may have travelled to Blackpool. She was seen boarding a train leaving Edinburgh at around 8.50am and getting off at Preston at around 11.15am before onward travel to Blackpool, arriving around 11.50am.
Police are appealing for information as part of their efforts in tracing Emma. She is described as white, 5ft6ins in height, heavy build, with blonde/ginger hair in a short ponytail.
She was last seen wearing a black jumper with colourful writing on the front, a multicoloured scarf, black trousers and black shoes and was carrying a large green rucksack with her.
Inspector Quentin Russell said: “Concerns are growing for Emma’s welfare and it is important we make sure she is safe and well. We are asking anyone who has seen her or knows where she might be to get in touch. I’d also say to Emma, if you see this appeal, please get in touch with your family or police. We all want to make sure you are safe and well.”
