AUSTIN, Texas — Refunds are now available after Childish Gambino canceled the rest of his North American tour.
Donald Glover’s musical alter ego was scheduled to hit the stage at the Moody Center in September but abruptly postponed his Austin show because of an illness.
Recently, Glover posted an update on social media, shedding a little more light on the illness that has now forced him to close the door on returning for his “The New World Tour.”
“After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to make sure of an ailment that had become apparent,” Glover wrote. “It became clear … after more tests, I could not perform the rest of the US tour in the time asked.”
Glover also added that he has surgery scheduled and will need time to heal from the unknown ailment.
According to the Moody Center’s website, those looking for refunds should expect an email from Ticketmaster. After that, it takes Ticketmaster about 30 days to process a refund. You can also contact Ticketmaster support online or by phone at 800-653-8000.
Glover’s tour marked his first since 2019 with many major North American cities on the schedule before moving to Europe, New Zealand and Australia in 2025.
Glover completed 19 shows before his illness, with his cancelation affecting more than 30 scheduled dates. Before his illness, Glover also canceled a Connecticut show in August because of technical difficulties.
