Shocking images have emerged, displaying the moment a Frontier Airlines plane with almost 200 passengers on board seemed to burst into flames following a “hard landing” at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Saturday. The frightening incident was caught on camera, with footage showing fire beneath the aircraft.

Flight 1326 from San Diego reportedly experienced smoke in the cockpit upon arrival, leading pilots to declare an emergency. Investigations are underway into the emergency landing.

A Twitter user posted a video of the event, remarking that firefighters responded swiftly. They noted an evacuation and commented: “Caught me by surprise. Firefighters sprayed the aircraft with foam, according to @liveatc they’ll be evacuating by stairs (not blowing any slides).”

According to airport authorities, the plane suffered a hard landing resulting in tire blowouts.

The FAA confirmed that 190 passengers were on board during the afternoon scare and said that the airport’s emergency teams put out a fire on the plane’s right engine post-landing. Onlookers at the airport claimed to witness flames and smoke emitting from below the plane, reports the Mirror.

Frontier asserted there were no injuries and passengers were safely disembarked using the stairs before being taken to the terminal.

Frontier took to Twitter to confirm: “The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew were evacuated via airstairs. No injuries were reported, and passengers have been bussed to the terminal. There were a total of 190 passengers and 7 crew members on board.”

Moreover, the National Transportation Safety Board declared on Sunday that it has initiated a probe into the mishap, collaborating with the FAA.
