Amazon Prime Day is the retail giant’s massive sale event where thousands of prices are slashed. However, this week’s Big Deal Days sale event, which starts on Tuesday, October 8, won’t be the cheapest place to buy three of the retailer’s top-selling tech devices.

The Fire TV Stick, Echo Pop, and Echo Dot speaker are big sellers, but despite being sold by Amazon, shoppers will want to look elsewhere this week. A lesser-known retailer is offering the Alexa voice-remote Fire TV Stick for just £1.99, an Echo Dot for £7.99, and the latest Echo Pop for £4.99… all cheaper than your favourite takeaway drink.

So, how can these prices be so low? It’s down to two main factors: Amazon’s decision to cut prices early and deals site TopCashback. When combined, shoppers can achieve a saving not currently found anywhere else, as our shopping team can explain.

The Fire TV Stick, Amazon’s HDMI plug-in solution to make TVs smart, can be paired with TopCashback’s £15 offer for new members. To do this, shoppers need to create or sign up with Topcashback, go to the search bar and type in Amazon, reports Surrey Live.

From here, purchase your chosen Fire Stick, Echo Pop, or Echo Dot as normal through TopCashBack’s redirected link.

Initially, shoppers will pay Amazon’s current sale price (so £16.99 for the Fire TV Stick) but after seven days £15 cashback will appear in consumers’ accounts – bringing the price down to a staggeringly cheap £1.99. Outside of Prime sales this exact same Fire Stick costs shoppers £44.99, so it’s roughly 97 percent cheaper than usual.

The 5th generation Echo Dot is Alexa-backed speaker that does so much more than play music, including smart home capabilities and a hands-free virtual assistant. Amazon’s discounts reduce it from £54.99 to £22.99 but when bought through TopCashback’s link this cuts the price to only £7.99.

Then there’s the Echo Pop, Amazon’s re-introduced device with its moon-like half speaker and half alarm clock face. Combining the two retailers deals (and crucially shopping through Top Cashback’s link) cuts this down to only £4.57.

Shoppers will want to note they’ll have to wait seven days for the cashback to appear, so it’s not an instant automatic saving.

It’s a massive week for sales, and retailers as well as Amazon and TopCashback are launching some great deals. For some lovely bargains, check out Debenham’s and Dunelm, or shop for Amazon products at places like Argos and Curry’s.
