Kris Boyd was shut down live on air after suggesting a £3million Rangers bid for Lennon Miller – with James McFadden telling him to DOUBLE that.

The 18-year-old is viewed as one of the brightest talents in the country currently and has started the season with a bang, shooting down St Mirren with a double last weekend. He’s already viewed as Motherwell‘s best player and it’s a matter of when rather than if he gets a move to a bigger club.

The one problem the Fir Park team face is his contract which expires at the end of next season. If he doesn’t renew, then the clock is ticking to sell up for a chunky fee in the near future to avoid losing him for a snip when his contract winds down. Enter Rangers, who were credited with firm interest in Miller in the summer.

The topic of Miller’s potential move to Ibrox was discussed on Sky Sports on Sunday before Celtic’s late win over Ross County. And Boyd was the first one to suggest a price tag. He asked: “I don’t know, what would Motherwell be looking for? £3million?” before Aiden McGeady added: “£3 or £4m, yeah.”

As for McFadden? He wasn’t having it at all. The Motherwell hero scoffed and chimed in: “Come on. Six, start at £6million.”
