Lorraine Kelly returned to Scotland this weekend as she paid a visit to an East Kilbride restaurant with her mother.
The iconic Glasgow-born presenter shared a sweet snap of her and her mum Anne enjoying some food at ‘Once Upon a Table’ which serves Scottish cuisine.
The mother and daughter duo were also joined by Lorraine’s brother, Graham, who treated them to the meal.
The 64-year-old presenter, who recently celebrated 40 years of her remarkable television career, took to Instagram to share the photograph with fans as she issued an update on her mother – who she described as a “phenomenon”.
Her caption read: “Great to see my mum at the weekend – lovely time at Once Upon a Table in East Kilbride with my brother Graham who treated us! Mum is doing really well – she’s a phenomenon.”
Anne was rushed to Monklands Hospital in Lanarkshire last year following her diagnosis with nephrotic syndrome in 2022, a condition which stops the kidneys from functioning properly.
Fans were quick to rush to the comments to wish Lorraine and her mother well as one wrote: “Lovely photograph of you both. Good to know your mum is doing well. x”
Someone else replied: “The beauty twosome. Have the rest of a good weekend. Xxx”
Others chimed in to tell Lorraine how much they enjoyed her ITV documentary Lorraine Kelly: 40 Unforgettable Years which aired last week.
A third follower commented: “Cherish the times with your mum, Lorraine. Loved your documentary of your 40th Anniversary, big congratulations you’re a star.”
A fourth also made reference to Lorraine’s pride and joy, which is her granddaughter Billie, who was born in August this year to daughter Rosie and Rosie’s other half, Steve.
The fan’s sweet comment read: “Looking forward to seeing what will be a beautiful female generation photo with Billy, Mummy, Granny and Great Granny.”
