Members of the public are invited to attend NHS Lanarkshire’s Ministerial Annual Review on November 4 to hear about a range of developments to improve health services locally.
Maree Todd MSP, Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport, will be reviewing the health board’s performance during 2023/24 at an open public meeting.
The review will take place in the Ken Corsar Medical Education Training Centre, Kirklands Hospital, Bothwell.
Members of the public are asked to arrive for 12pm. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be available between 12.15pm and 12.35pm, with the review taking place from 12.35pm until 1.35pm
Chair of NHS Lanarkshire, Martin Hill, said: “We would like to encourage anyone who is interested in healthcare services in Lanarkshire to attend our annual review.
“It is an opportunity to hear about our key achievements during 2023/24.
“There will also be a session for members of the public to ask questions on the issues which matter most to them, although it will not be possible to answer patient specific queries.”
Members of the public can attend the public session of the review either in person or online via Microsoft Teams.

As places for the event are limited, members of the public are asked to reserve their place in advance.

Mr Hill added: “This is an opportunity for members of the public to find out more about the health board’s key achievements during 2023/24 – and also to hear about more current topics and issues, including key projects such as the FNC+Plus, Monklands Replacement Project and Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service.”
The presentation from NHS Lanarkshire will also cover the work carried out on Operation Flow in late 2023 and early 2024 that brought the whole health and care system in Lanarkshire together in a concentrated and co-ordinated effort to stabilise and decompress services, delivering benefits for both patients and staff.
