Strictly Come Dancing fans were genuinely annoyed by a blunder they spotted during Movie Week on Saturday night.

As Chris McCausland wowed viewers with a sensational Wayne’s World-inspired routine, and as Pete Wicks became a ‘national treasure’, viewers were distracted by something behind the judges’ table.

It was a week the judges clearly enjoyed, with over half of the dancing couples being given a score of 30 or more, despite it only being week three of the competition.

But while their eyes were all fixed on the incredible moves on the dancefloor, perhaps they should have focused their attention on the audience behind them.

Strictly fans spotted almost straight away that two pairs of legs were brightly lit up and visible throughout the evening, leaving some viewers giggling and others becoming increasingly irritated.

On X, @DroidCam said: ‘Rather unfortunate positioning of two lady audience members on Strictly Come Dancing tonight. Looks like the loo door has been left open.’

The legs were also spotted by @WHUGal, who said, ‘The legs on show behind the judges were distracting!’ while @KateAitken1 called them ‘disturbing’.

While some people saw the funny side, @CJBrake definitely didn’t: ‘I’m glad it wasn’t just me [who spotted the legs]: annoyed me all evening!’

@MariaHickey1976 commented: ‘My husband thought it was the Halloween show and that this was some bizarre set decoration.’

It remains to be seen whether Strictly Come Dancing’s producers will make changes to the arrangement of the crowd for this Saturday’s upcoming live show.

Another hilarious moment from Strictly this weekend came courtesy of Nikita, who managed to completely mix up two Shakira songs on Sunday’s results show.

After being saved for another week following Toyah Wilcox’s departure, the remaining contestants had a chat with Claudia Winkleman and let viewers know what song they’d be dancing to next week.

But Nikita, 26, and his celebrity contestant Sam Quek, 35, confused everyone watching at home after announcing they would be dancing the samba to Whenever, Wherever.

Nikita even got up off the sofa to begin singing the song… only to find out that they’ll actually be dancing to Hips Don’t Lie, her number-one hit from five years later. Oops.

Everyone from Nikita, to Sam, to Claudia, to the other dancers and celebrities, and the entire studio audience all fell about laughing as Nikita covered his face with his hands.

He then took to Instagram to joke that he’d already started choreographing the song, but apologised to Shakira for not remembering which of her hits he’d be dancing to.
