A police probe is underway to trace a man who has been missing for six days. Darren Scott Thompson was last seen in the Aberdeen suburb of Bucksburn on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old is said to be 5ft 11ins tall, with a beard, short brown hair, and an athletic build. He also has a tattoo saying ‘Dazza’ on his left arm.

The force says he also has tattoos which read ‘Leighton’ and ‘Lexie’ on the side of his neck, and that he was wearing black trainers with white soles, blue jeans, a white Marvel t-shirt with an emblem, and a black jacket when he was last seen.

Police Scotland has now appealed to the public for help in tracking down Darren. He was last spotted at around 9.15pm in the Sclattie Park area of Bucksburn.

Sergeant David Calvert said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch. I would appeal to anyone who has seen Darren or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.”

Darren was last seen on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 4220 of Thursday, October 3, 2024.
