Amazon has reduced the price of a viral snail serum that’s been dubbed “glass skin” in a bottle.

The online behemoth’s Big Deals Days sale is in full swing, offering a plethora of discounts on a vast array of beauty items, with many featured in our live blog. A standout bargain is the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, now priced at just £10.40, down from its original £23.99 price.

Touted as “Botox in a bottle”, the serum has taken social media by storm, with countless TikTok and Instagram videos praising its virtues. Boasting a 96.3 percent concentration of Snail Secretion Filtrate, it claims to maintain skin moisture while combating dark spots and aging indicators such as fine lines and wrinkles.

Now available on Amazon, this essence has garnered a cult following among beauty enthusiasts aiming for that translucent, “glass” skin effect.

To use, one should apply the product after cleansing and before heavier creams, taking advantage of the snail mucin’s natural hydrating elements like glycolic acid, glycoprotein enzymes, and copper peptides ingredients typically reserved for high-end, expensive skincare, reports the Daily Record.

While the essence’s popularity is evident, the question remains – does it deliver results?

Trends Writer Lucy Farrell has been using the product in her daily skincare routine for over 13 months – and is planning to stock up thanks to Amazon’s discount.

Read below to see what she actually thinks of this viral snail serum.

As a beauty enthusiast, I’m always keen to try out the latest products that claim to enhance my skin. The CORSX Power Essence had been creating quite a buzz, so naturally, it was on my list to test.

I’ve previously shared my thoughts on this serum back last November, after a four-month trial period where I initially found it drying and lacking the promised “glass” effect. However, after using the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence for over a year, I’ve completely changed my tune.

I can see that regular use of this snail serum has evened out my skin-tone, made it appear brighter and smoother and giving it an overall noticeable glow.

When I first tried it, the essence felt sticky, and I was concerned about it leaving my skin feeling tacky. To my relief, it absorbed quickly.

Despite adhering to the instructions, I was sceptical at first, especially when my skin felt dry during the initial fortnight. But since then, I’ve picked up some tips that have significantly boosted its performance, making it indispensable to me now.

One major change was applying it to damp skin right after cleansing instead of waiting for my face to dry, a tip I picked up from other beauty aficionados online. This small adjustment seemed to help my skin hold onto moisture much better.

My conversion to a loyal snail serum fan can be attributed to two changes – increasing the application frequency from once to twice daily and using it consistently. While it did lead to faster consumption, I noticed a significant improvement in its effectiveness.

Verdict

As with many things in life, including skincare, the classic saying “good things come to those who wait” holds true. With patience and consistent application, the serum has helped my skin achieve a radiant, non-greasy glow and a more even tone.

However, users should be aware that immediate results are unlikely – the product requires time to take effect. Consistency is crucial, as sporadic application may not yield the desired changes.

I’m so happy that the CORSX essence has once again been reduced by Amazon as it means I can stock up on even more than usual.

If you’re looking for an alternative, consider Beauty of Josen’s Revive Serum, available for £9.92 (30ml) on Stylevana.com. This serum, though smaller than CORSX, combines snail mucin with ginseng for enhanced hydration and brightness.

The CORSX serum is also available on Beauty Bay for £22.35, Look Fantastic for £20.99, Boots for £24.99, and ASOS for £27.99.

You can purchase the CORSX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence for £10.40 on Amazon here.
