Motherwell’s teenage sensation Lennon Miller has won September William Hill Premiership Player of the Month.

The 18-year-old netted both goals in a 2-1 win over St Mirren to cap an impressive month for Motherwell in which they also reached the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals, at the expense of Premiership rivals Dundee United, though they also lost 2-1 to Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Miller has been ever-present, however, and is keen to add goals and assists to an already impressive CV.

“I’m extremely proud to pick up this award,” Miller told Motherwell’s website.

“Not many Motherwell players win it. Blair Spittal won it last season and he was only the third Motherwell player in five years to do so.

“Personally it’s great, but more importantly, the team have been playing well collectively.

“There is a real sense of togetherness and cohesion between us all. We can’t wait to get back to the action.”
