P Diddy, real name Sean Combs, has been stripped of any ‘special privileges’ in prison and won’t even have access to a TV, according to a former inmate. The music star was arrested last month in New York on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation and engaging in prostitution.

He denies all allegations and has pleaded not guilty but remains incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center. Despite his wealth, the hip-hop mogul is being treated just like any other prisoner, it’s been claimed.

Married at First Sight star Timothy Smith, who previously served time in a US federal prison, has given an insight into life behind bars. He says Diddy’s current jail conditions are likely to be “grim” and that his status offers no “special treatment” whatsoever, reports the Mirror.

He explained: “His money and wealth won’t get him any benefits. In the federal system, it’s so limited, you don’t get extra privileges because you’re rich. His wealth won’t help him in here, nothing at all.

“You’re allowed a few basics like a tracksuit and sneakers from the commissary, but that’s about it,” he told Daily Mail Australia. “They do raids and if you try to stockpile, they take everything. People think there are TVs and radios, but where he’s at there’s nothing, not even a radio. You get a Bible and one book per week.”

Diddy, 54, is potentially facing litigation from as many as 120 people, according to attorney Tony Buzbee, who spoke of plans to sue for alleged exploitation and sexual misconduct. At Tuesday’s press briefing, accusations levelled against Diddy included using horse tranquilliser on purported victims allegations which he vehemently denies.

Buzbee recounted the account of one supposed victim, just 15-years-old at the time, claiming she was “flown to New York City to attend a party” and subsequently drugged and led to a private space, allegedly in Mr Combs’ company.

As these claims surface, his mother Janice Smalls Combs has come forth with a striking declaration following her son’s arrest. Asserting her son’s innocence, Janice stated “as a mother” she is “saddened” by the accusations.

She conveyed her anguish over what Combs faces, elaborating that it’s “heartbreaking” to observe his ordeal. In her own words: “I come to you today as a mother that is devastated and profoundly saddened by the allegations made against my son, Sean Combs.”

Continuing her passionate defence, she expressed: “It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies. To bear witness to what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have this day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”
